So Don and Lydia decide to go to Bucksport's friday-night game together. Originally, Don was going to meet Lydia there, and they were going to come back together (in separate vehicles, of course). Seeing as I could easily get the day off from work, and considering that I hadn't seen a game in over a year, I decided to join Lydia and surprise my parents with my presence. Don knowing the situation, decided to take the opportunity to visit Lydia early by coming down to Massachusetts on Thursday night. Thus, I became the official chaperone for them. What a chore! Not that it's a hard job or anything, it's just all you have to put up with! I won't mention the half of it for fear of old chaperone wounded ears to be reopened. So to survive the ordeal, I gave myself two simple goals. The first was to occupy myself with brain-numbing nonsense that would distract me from their babblings. This primarily was thinking up ideas for "Counter-Strike" maps. The second was to get them off of their idiotic, non-original, and highly repetitive nick-names for eachother. The two most common of these nick-names were "honey" and "dear". After using all my intellect and persuasive skills, I could not convince them of the importance of getting their own original nicknames for each other. *sigh* .... maybe next time.... which will probably not be too long from now...
